Support a Sober hero

Working with my team at Macmillan Cancer Support, I shot and edited this short film. The aim was to show some love and support for the wonderful sober heroes who are raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support this month.

This was a really good fun project, which I shot a Sony FS7 in about half a day. It features Macmillan staff: Bob, Liam and Emma (voiceover). The video has been pretty successful online, having around 30,000 organic views in the first 24hrs of being published and nearly 100,000 views over the first weekend.

For this project we are trialling oversized titles, specifically aimed at enhancing engagement with a social media audience, likely to be watching on phones or tablets, potentially without sound.

Here’s a little snippet of the action, behind the scenes…

Learning to Breathe at Raindance

I’m chuffed to announce that feature film Learning to Breathe, which I shot with director Dan Turner in Tobago in 2014, has been screened as a part of the Official Selection at Raindance Film Festival 2016.

Here’s me, Dan Turner and Alice Walker-Mitchell (Production Manager, Pizza Lover and woman of many talents) on the red carpet. It’s a great festival, championing independent film from all around the world, and we were proud to have the film screen alongside some other great pieces of work.

To recap, you can see the official trailer for the film here:
